On the left picture Haslefossen is running wild during early summer. If the watercourse is used for hydroelectic power production the scenery will look like the picture up right. The picture is manipulated in a modest way.

If plans are carried out as in the proposal, the river will be led in a tunnel from the foot of the waterfall Rjukanfossen to Skjeggedalsåna, leaving the original watercourse from Dale to Herefoss, a distance of 60 kilometres, with only a minimum of waterflow as is illustrated by the picture.
