On the left picture Pollfossen is running wild during summer. If the watercourse is used for hydroelectric power production the scenery will look like the picture right. The picture is manipulated in a modest way to give a realistic idea what the waterfall will look like.
The friendly hosts at Pollfoss Guesthouse are wery conserned about this scenario.
Note: We have been informed that the waterflow during the summer of 1997 was unusually high. The effects can therefore be a bit less dramatic than it appears on this page.
