Haslatangen

Photo: Jan Hansen

This area is an important place for flyfishing for sea-trout in the sea. Nidelva's western outlet floods from the north into this shallow "basin" whose islets and the Haslatangen itself (tange is best translated to point or tongue of land) make up the "basin walls" creating currents almost everywhere. Haslatangen is commonly used for family outings and bathing during the summer. The flyfisher should come at dusk when the place will be less crowded. A canoe will bring you to the islets with little effort.
