There are a lot of nice flyfishing possibilities along
the coasts of Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The flyfisher's object is
primarily the sea-trout, but cod, coalfish and pollack are often
caught when hunting the sea-trout.
The sea-trout is a most wanted dish for a lot of inhabitants along the Scandinavian coasts. In Norway illegal netting and legal trolling is most common. Illegal netting is very much used and often by the very nice landowners who often will allow you to cast your fly from his landing stage. The species caught by flyfishermen casting from solid land will be fish that are moving in more or less shallow water. Thus, given that the species that are around at a given time of the year, will eat something that can be imitated and moved by the end of a line, it should be possible to catch all of them. By example, quite reasonably sized cod spawn in shallow water around Easter before they return to the depths outside. Fish often eat smaller fishes and the flyfisherman that has a streamer on will catch sea-trout, cod, coalfish and pollack all year round.
