My recommendation is minimum a 15ft.two-handed rod of 10-12 line weight.
Recommended flies are - Green Highlander, Thunder & Lightning and the
Doctor family flies in size 2/0 - 8. Fly with silver body in above mentioned
sizes are also preferred by many fly fishermen. But my favourite patterns
remain of my own composition. So don’t hesitate to try yours . There are
fair chances of catching salmon on dry flies in low water situations in
late season. The river also allows excellent fishing from boat with both
flies and other lures. Rapala wobbles are highly recommended, no organic
baits are allowed.
