Deep Sea Fishing
The coast of Aust-Agder is perhaps not the best in regard to size of
the fish, but the weather conditions is unmet compared to the rougher west
and north of the country. We can take you out there for charming fishing
and there is always the chance to get a big one, or to fill the boat with
mackerell.
Salmon Fishing
Salmon fishing is possible, but the rivers in question (Nidelva, Tovdalselva
and Storelva) are not known to offer good salmon fishing.
Sea-Trout Fishing
All of the rivers can be good (though not excellent) for sea-trout
fishing. Storelva is the best bet for this fishing, although it is very
water dependent and often prove "difficult" for people that are not familiar
with this river. A guide here is strongly recommended.
Trout
Most of the rivers and lakes are full of fish of smaller sizes. We
know about a few lakes and ponds where flyfishing for medium sized or big
trout are possible. The lakes Vegår and Svart is much used
for trolling after trout that can reach several kiloes.
Whitefish (Norsk: Sik)
Nidelva upstream and downstream Nelaug holds whitefish of varying quality.
It is an interesting fish to catch on the fly. This area is a very nice
place for canoeing as well.
Pike, eel and warmwater species
Several lakes hold Pike, eel and different species of warmwater fish.
Our guides know where they are and how to catch them.
