Flyfishing in the countryside of Kristiansand

Photo: Espen Hjetland

This picture of a local flyfisher named Kent in action should indicate the possibilities in the countryside of Kristiansand. After a long period fighting acidification through liming, several lakes and streams are restocked, often by considerate efforts from the local hunting and fishing association. Many fishermen in the area practices catch and release wich is elsewhere not so common. The picture shows a part of Bergvann.

All lakes and streams around Kristiansand presented here is accsessible by achieving a license at Grønberg Sport. The pictures are all taken at the marks on the map that are delivered together with the permit.

The city of Kristiansand can be a bit busy during summer, just like any other place along the south coast. From here the city and sea outside seems quiet and peaceful.
