Places:

Hardangervidda National Park is a large mountain plataue in the senter of the southern part of Norway. To walk across it by foot you should allow at least a week depending a bit on the route chosen. Though many Norwegians (and foreigners) have a love for this place, you are able to find remote places where you will probably meet few or none other humans for days.

Most of the pictures on these pages are shot on sunny days. This is because its hard to take photographs when you are ice-cold and have a hard wind with snow blowing threw your light summer clothes. Many people aquntainced with these mountains are stunned about some tourist that take long hikes without extra clothes or a map and compass. This might proove dangerous.

The Trout can be of excellent condition many places througout this area. Saying this we would like to add that it might be diffcult to catch one. There are a diversity of insects around, but to find the right fly is difficult. Many refusals, for each take is common. Many sportfisherman carry spinning gear and worms to enhance their luck.

The fish on the picture was caught in the Lake Reksjå. It  took a Elk Hair Caddis variant afters hours of fishing. It was a nice fighter at 3/4 of a kilo.

Catch&Release is not a big issue here, but if you should find the rare occasions when you have a lot of fish to take your lure, it is allowed to use common sense and quit fishing when your bag is gaining weight.
