Fishing in Telemark is
mainly about freshwaterfishing in the countryside and this county's mountain
areas.
Most of the Hardangervidda lies within its borders and this is a place very much used for backpacking summer and winter. This area of wilderness must be experienced. For the fisherman the quality trout found here are superb fighters and have an uncomparable taste. But that is only experienced if you get it. The northern winds are as damaging to fishing in general as at Finnmarksvidda. .
