The part of Numedalslågen which is the "trout area" is known to offer "difficult" fishing. In spite of the difficulties, or perhaps because this might be the ultimate challenge, the river is more and more crowded with fishermen - a development not always joyfully acknowledged by the local wizards of flyfishing.

Especially the part of the river running through the area around Rollag is much visited by fishermen eager to try their luck. From time to time, big trout are caught here. This is an area where fishermen should take care of preserving the big ones and consider catch and release as a contribution to the following generations of flyfishers. The use of a boat or canoe is forbidden.

It's difficult to present this area by the use of pictures, but we'll soon get back with better stuff.
