This area is one of the most wisited by Norwegian flyfishermen
and anglers. The river Hallingdalselva, with its tributaries Hemsila and
Ustedalsvassdraget all offers quality fishing and many keepers of campingsites
and lodges can provide helpful advices if you are new to this area.
In the mountains sturdy brown trout lurks around and many lakes provide fish well above the 1 kg/ 2 lbs mark. Licenses are available for private waters and from groups of landowners and we hope to provide maps on these issues in the near future.
