Vorma

In the side river Vorma, down from Svanfossen you can find grayling, trout and whitefish. Just about every year there are trout caught that run into the several kilo mark, but as a rule these are taken trolling or with wobbler. Some good fast flowing stretches down from the waterfall makes for good fly fishing. There is reasonable access to river. The next fast flowing stretch you will find, is below the power station at Rånåfoss. I am sorry to say that here, many of the better fishing places have been lost because of the power-station, and much of the river here is extremely fast flowing. Some years ago you could find fine grayling fishing here in the shallows and small bays. But there are still fish here, and a little further down stream the river is more easily accessible.

About 10 kilometres further down river is another power-station. Before this was probably ístlandets finest fishing area for grayling, whitefish and trout and some of these can still be found through the stocking of grayling and trout fingerlings.
