THE LIMING PROJECT
The first lime dosers is now operating. The main goals of this efforts are:
- 1. Re-establish the salmon in the river
- 2. Establish better breeding conditions for the sea-trout
- 3. Establish better conditions for coldwaterspecies
The total amount of limestone needed to achieve this goals are estimatet to some
6680 tonns a year. This will give pH values arund 6.0 at the outlet to the sea.
